What is the gender pay gap?

The gender pay gap is the average difference between the salaries of men and women who are working. Generally, women are paid less than men, and this can result in many detrimental effects on women's lives and well-being.

There is not one issue but many reasons why the pay gap exists.

Women around the world collectively lose around $513 billion a year because of the pay gap. Some lose more than others based on industry, employer, and demographics.

It's a world wide issue

The gender pay gap is an outcome of how society is built around gender discrimination. Until the issue is addressed publicly, whether on a national or corporate scale, sexism will continue to persist.

It's deeply rooted in our society

It will affect girls negatively throughout their careers and adult life. Not only are they losing hard-earned money, they are affected psychologically.

Salaries should not be a guessing game for anyone

Employers often compound the Issue
